Welcome New VCS President Bob Weber

Meet the newly appointed Valley Catholic School President Robert G. Weber. Mr. Weber will oversee all management, fiscal, programmatic and planning activities of the PreK-12 school and succeeds Sr. Rita Watkins ’61, SSMO, who is stepping down after eight years as President.

Mr. Weber is not new to campus as he spent four years teaching and coaching at Valley Catholic High School from 1993-1997. He is a 1987 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Portland and holds a journalism degree from the University of Oregon. He also holds a master’s in teaching from Pacific University.

Valley Catholic Halftime Dance February 5, 2010

Valley Catholic’s reigning state championship dance team, Charisma, does there version of the dance phenomenon, Single Ladies, originally performed by recording artist Beyonce.

Yamini Naidu for Mayor Video 2010

Watch video contest winner Valley Catholic freshman Yamini Naidu, in her “If I Were Mayor…” video. This is the second year the City of Beaverton participated in the contest sponsored by the Oregon Mayor’s Association. Mayor Denny Doyle announced the winner during the Beaverton City Council meeting Monday, June 21. Yamini received a $50 Visa gift card and will go on to compete in the statewide competition for a laptop computer.

Valley Catholic S.K.I.D. Event 2010

On April 19, Valley Catholic High School participated in the S.K.I.D. (Stop Kids Intoxicated Driving) program. View the video of the drunken driving accident re-enacted by and for Valley Catholic High School students. Since the program started in 1998, the number of fatal alcohol-related car crashes in the area has drastically decreased.

Nearly 200 parents and friends of Valley Catholic School and the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon attended the festive groundbreaking event for the new K-8 School Wednesday, May 5. The site where the school will be built was transformed into a Cinco de Mayo party. Watch highlights from the fiesta!

Residing on our beautiful 43-acre campus is Valley Catholic’s PreK-12 Catholic School system, Maryville Nursing Home and the Convent of the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon.
